Started With a Desk, a Calculator, and a Whole Lot of Dedication
Back in 1999, Speedy Tax started under the name TAXaco, and I was managing the office. I’ve always believed in doing good work and treating people the way I’d want to be treated. That’s how I ran the place then—and how I still run it now.
A few years in, I had the opportunity to buy the business myself. Clients would always say, “Boy, you’re fast!”—and that’s how the name Speedy Tax was born.
We’ve been in the same neighborhood ever since, now located at 107 N. Poplar St. in Elizabethtown, NC. Before this, my husband and I had a small business just around the corner, so helping people around here isn’t new to us—it’s just what we do.
This isn’t a corporate office. I may not have all the answers right away, but I know who to ask—and I’ll always make sure you’re taken care of. Our clients aren’t numbers. They’re names, faces, families, and neighbors. And we treat them like it.
Even when tax season ends, we don’t go off the radar. All calls get forwarded to my cell, so you can reach us year-round. That’s just how we do things here.
